In 2014 GM introduced a new design V8 engine with a Fuel Injection system that sprayed fuel directly into the combustion chamber. These "Direct Injection" engines are sometimes referred to as "LT" engines (named after the Corvette LT1 version) or as "LTx" engines, to include the Truck based variations.
This show quality wiring harness is for use with 2014 to 2016 Gen 5 Truck engines - specifically L83 5.3L or L86 6.2L models - that use a 4-wire Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor. This wiring harness is for use with 6L80 or 6L90 6-speed automatic transmissions. The wiring harness layout requires that the Alternator remain in the OEM Truck location (passenger side - high mount).
The depicted engine computer (ECM) is NOT included. A reconditioned ECM (with project specific programming) may be ADDED to your purchase using the dropdown menu options.
A compatible Accelerator Pedal (APP) may be ADDED to your purchase using the dropdown menu options.
Alternator Control:
In a conversion vehicle, the Alternator is controlled by the ECM. LRtronix has developed proprietary programming, ensuring that the Alternator will consistently output (charge) at a reliable voltage level, and within an appropriate voltage range.
Electric Cooling Fan Control:
LRtronix has developed proprietary programming, ensuring that the ECM will properly operate a standard automotive relay, and correctly control Cooling Fan activation based on the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT).
Fuel Pump Control:
LRtronix has developed proprietary programming, ensuring that the ECM will properly operate a standard automotive relay, to correctly control Fuel Pump operation, and to correctly calculate Inferred Fuel Pressures. Base Fuel Pressure should be set to 58 PSI.
Gauges:
The E92 ECM used with LTx engines does not output a traditional Speedometer or Tachometer signal. This means that CanBus or OBD-II style gauges, or an interface module, is required.

The wiring harness is constructed from OEM grade TXL wire, and is covered in solid braided loom style sheathing for a show quality appearance. It features a premium quality Electrical Centre (Fuse Panel) manufactured by Delphi.
The main trunk of the wiring harness - from the back of the Intake Manifold to the ECM - is approximately 48 inches in length (4 feet). This harness length allows the ECM to be mounted inside the vehicle occupant compartment, but it could also be mounted within the engine compartment if so desired. An OEM grade Firewall Grommet is incorporated into the construction of each wiring harness, and may be positioned (slid) to any location on the main trunk length.
The wiring harness includes a Powertrain Control Relay (isolation relay) and a Fuel Pump Relay. The electric fan "trigger wire" is labeled, but would need to be wired into your relay. A prewired Fan Relay is optional at an additional cost - see the related dropdown option. All connections are clearly labeled, and general instructions are provided.
